Why don't we actually say what we mean?

Isn't it amazing how no matter how many times we say to ourselves that we will appreciate all of the good things we many times that we reflect on our blessings over a thanksgiving we remember how much worse off people are all over the we say that we won't let little things bother us......we always still manage to take good things for granted and end up in a world of regret and sadness. the worst part is....we could say to ourselves "if I'm ever in that position again, I will cherish it...and take it for the blessing it is" But, if actually in that position again, we do the same stupid things again, resulting in the aforementioned cycle of regret and sadness.

I have lived through several a sad week in my short 30 years....loss, death, pain, regret, anger, loneliness, guilt.......never one like this last week.

not even close.
