FInding Success Riding Around the 48 States!!

Final fuel-up back in Arizona after two weeks of traveling.

This past Friday (June 26), I successfully returned home to Flagstaff after a two-week motorcycle journey around the entire country. Over those two weeks, I covered over 9000 miles (averaging over 700-miles per day of riding), and somehow managed to ride at least a mile in all 48 of the contiguous US states (including DC). This was definitely no easy undertaking, and I was presented with countless obstacles and challenges to solve and overcome. Some of these included issues with the motorcycle (punctured tire, faulty chain), some included mental lapses (forgetting my wallet at a gas station), and some involved physical troubles (severely sprained ankle incurred from a minor spill). I met each of these challenges and found a way to push on, completing my goal, and helping to settle my long-building wanderlust and anxiousness. The journey was everything I had hoped it would be and I had hundreds of hours in my own head to sort through stuff. It was a therapy session of sorts, and it was soul nourishing.

I didn't take many pictures, but did record a lot of video from my helmet-mounted camera. I will take me a long time to get through it all, but in the short term, I've created a 3-minute highlight reel here if you're interested. I will post a more thorough recap in time.
